Mechanical engineering career - what should I expect?

Printer-friendly versionSend by emailPDF version

Hello! I am going to start my classes of mechanical engineering degree in a university here in my city. I am really very interested in doing mechanical engineering. I have found myself interested in all machine related stuff. I really love doing physics and mathematics. As my information is concerned, I know these two subjects are widely used in study during mechanical engineering.

But the thought which always irritates me is that what should I expect after mechanical engineering? What a mechanical engineer is expected to do in future? What kind of jobs do mechanical engineers do in industries? Is this degree really worth putting hard work and time into it?
