Which one is better, information science or mechanical engineering? With respect to employment, future jobs, careers and scope. Information Technology (Information science) is a hot choice for students these days, so is mechanical engineering. Many of my friends suggest me that Information technology is the future. While I personally think that mechanical engineers have a better future than those with degree in information science. Kindly help me decide which one is better? Information science vs. mechanical engineering?

Mechanical engineering is better choice
In my personal opinion, information science is very generalized study while mechanical engineering is more specific and more professional. There is no doubt that information technology is a burning choice for many of the students but it’s not a very professional engineering study. Though there are many jobs available in this field but number of students graduating in information science is already too much to accommodate them all in the industries in future. While mechanical engineering is ever green field which much better career awaiting in future.
In the end I would like to remind you that choice is all yours. These are just my own suggestions. Don’t just get carried away blindly with my opinion. It’s all about your interest and aptitude. Choose the one which attracts you. Only then you can perform better in any field of education
