Hi friends, I am going to finish my diploma in mechanical engineering in a few months. I really don’t have any idea of what to do next? Should I go for job or should I continue to study and register myself for mechanical engineering degree? Can you please suggest me that what should I do after diploma in mechanical engineering. I have some financial issues as well, so I cannot continue studying without proper scholarship from some organization or college. These are hard times. Not only me but all my friends are also so confused at this stage. No one knows what to do after completing diploma in mechanical engineering. Some friends and family members suggest finding some good job while others suggest continuing studying further. Is there any benefit of continuing education after diploma? As you all are mechanical engineers so you might have some better ideas and suggestions for me. Kindly reply. I will really appreciate your help.

After diploma ...............btech in mehcanical engineer or AMIE. i suggest btech mechanical, dont stop with btech. after btech go ahead with mtech.now days no value for btec.

I suggest you to continue education by either choosing the option of engineering degree, B Tech or any other post diploma courses. Engineering sector is all about personal growth, knowledge and experience. The more experienced and educated you are in your field, the more bright chances will be waiting for you in future. Don’t think of doing a job at this stage. Your educational qualification is not as good as it needs to be for a dream job at this stage.

As far as courses are concerned, you may choose any courses of your interest for engineering degree or B Tech. After getting degree in mechanical engineering you will have many options for jobs. You can get job offers from mechanical, production, automobile, food,  construction, power plant or cement industries etc.

Best advice is to join a job. you can continue your studies by part time in a AICTE approved college/universities.... Dont spare your money by doing regular B.E or B.Tech degree....

Rajkumar prajapati's picture

But sir its affordable for us to study after doing work... and sir can u tell the trustable and less expensive college or institute for doing correspondence degree..... In Mumbai in reference to any 1 experience........

Continue education until being Master Engineer.. but use your free time (vacation, weekends) for practice in a real company...

Its your choice...But if you get a good institution for the degree then you should prefer degree.
