Everyone who is studying mechanical engineering is much concerned about job scenario in the industry for fresh mechanical engineering graduates. There was a time when fresh graduates from top class mechanical engineering universities were hired before even they graduated. With the increasing competition in engineering education, the trend has not remained the same. Number of fresh mechanical engineers graduating every year is much more than required in the industries.

It doesn’t depend what country are you in. It doesn’t really matter if you are in United States, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, India or Pakistan. Job prospects for fresh mechanical engineers are almost the same in every country and region of this world. It takes time for you to get a job you have always desired of. Being a mechanical engineer you should not be much worried about this situation. It’s just a matter of time. Just don’t lose hope and keep applying for all the maximum job posts available to you and one good day you will get a high paid job. Being a mechanical engineer, you will never stay jobless. It might take some time for a fresh mechanical graduate to get a quality job but it never means that he/she is never going to get a job.

When compared with career and job prospects in other fields of engineering, you will be surprised to know that situation is much worst over there. Mechanical engineering graduates are in a much better employment potential. Mechanical Engineering finds applications in all fields of technology and industry. They could work in any private or public sector industries of various types, and their work varies by industry and function. With the rapid rate of expansion in the industrial sector, the employment potential for mechanical engineers is very high. Besides any technical positions, many fresh mechanical engineers also find jobs in management related departments. Where they are trained for a few weeks about marketing, supply chain or whatever department it is.

There is no industry which can run without mechanical engineers. So jobs prospects for fresh mechanical engineers are quite high. If you are looking for your first job and you have got some offer from a company which offers you low salary, I will advise you to join it even if they are not paying you enough money. It will add more to your experience. And after working for them for 4-5 months when you will apply for some better jobs, then this experience will definitely count and your chances will be higher to get best paid jobs.

Though it's true that it's hard to find a dream job after completion of mechanical engineering degree. But if you are consistent and determined then you will definitely find it sooner.

I am ready to work in companies which pays low salary.What to do to get job in those companies ?How can I know company names which  are ready to take freshers ?Is there any specialisation course is required with btech to get a job ?really don't know what to to do...!!!
