Computer science or mechanical engineering? What should I pick?

I am currently deciding between majoring in some course. I have already narrowed down my choice to two educational fields which are mechanical engineering or computer science. Everyone knows here that both of these fields are quite different but they have something that interests me. If I majored in mechanical engineering then I would like to choose a career in automobile or aerospace industry. And if I majored in computer science then I would like to work in some software house or companies like Google, Microsoft or facebook.

I prefer work environment on salary. Though salary is also of high importance to me but I prefer work environment over salary. I can negotiate a low salary if I am provided with a cool working environment. A cool work environment with good hours and good pay will be awesome for me. I don’t like dirty work. I will always prefer working in an office with a congenial working environment.

So what do you say? Should I choose to major in CS or ME? As far as my interests are concerned, I like maths and solving problems. I love to do science projects so I think I can fit myself in mechanical engineering a well as computer science. I need a sincere advice on what career opportunity is the best choice for me among these two degrees.  Should I choose computer science or mechanical engineering for my degree? Which among them is the best option?
